What was once known as Toronto’s bohemian centre and the breeding ground for some of Canada’s most noted musical and poetic talents, The Bloor-Yorkville area became one of the busiest urban centres in North America. Transforming this area was no easy task but with the vision in mind of creating an enhanced pedestrian experience with widened sidewalks, mature trees, flower gardens and accent lighting, the Bloor-Yorkville BIA did just that.
